After submitting and paying for their applications, students are responsible for tracking project status using the “Check Project Status” button above. Projects are listed by teacher and Project Number. If payment was successful, the Project Code will appear in the “Payment Submitted” line at the top of the Synopsys Championship Project Status page. Status updates will follow SRC review, which may take 2–4 weeks. If a project isn’t listed, please contact the fair administrators.
Project Status Definitions
Application Accepted
Everything is complete and approved. You may begin your project.
Application Received / Awaiting Review for Completeness
Your application is submitted and waiting for SRC to review for completeness.
Waiting for SRC/IRB Review
Your application is submitted and waiting for SRC to review for completeness.
Application Incomplete / See Your Teacher
An email has been sent to the student and teacher with details. Common reasons it is incomplete:
- Quality issues: Procedures do not meet Minimum Quality Requirements. Resubmit your improved procedures as an email reply to the note sent by the Scientific Review Committee.
- Forms issues: Missing or incorrect forms—correct as specified and monitor your status until listed as “Accepted.”
Project Not Qualified
Project cannot be approved due to major safety hazards, rules violations that can not be corrected, missed SRC pre-approval deadlines, or an ineligible Field of Study.
Project Withdrawn
Withdrawn by the student or teacher.
No Show
A project that was accepted but not presented at the Synopsys Championship.
